Mercedes Benz E Class

Mercedes Benz E Class

Mercedes Benz always sets the bar higher with each product they launch. This time too, they have done it with the new E-Class. However, this time they have brought the E-Class LWB or the stretched version of the luxury saloon to India, keeping in mind that many of these cars are chauffeur driven. We have driven the car and we are mightily impressed. Take a look at the details through this picture gallery. For the 2017 E-Class, Mercedes has followed the same design language as the current S-Class andC-Class sedans. So the E-Class gets the familiar front end with a slightly protruding front grille.

It is for the first time for the Indian market that we will get the long wheelbase version of the E-Class. The design is largely the same as the short wheelbase model. And like the exteriors, the interior design also heavily borrows traits from the S-Class. There's a fully digital instrument cluster along with a touchscreen system for the COMAND interface.

There will be a 2.0-litre turbo petrol producing 181bhp and 300Nm, while the oil-burner gets the 3.0-litre diesel churning out 254bhp and 620Nm. Both engines come mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
